Culham Science Centre – Abingdon

NLC installed two runs of vertical & horizontal Brise Soleil to a New Research Development in Abingdon. The shading covered the windows on the Ground & First floor. The vertical panels were fabricated using 300mm elliptical blades fixed to profiled aluminium side frames and the horizontal panels were 120mm elliptical blades also fixed to alu. side frames. The installation was completed over two visits, the first being installation of bracketry and the second installation of panels. This meant that we could design the bracket fins to pass through the cladding so the base plates of the brackets were hidden behind once the building was finished off.
