Joules Clothing HQ – Market Harborough

Large Triangular Solar Shading Panels were fitted to Joules HQ by NLC in the Summer of 2020. From a distance the panel appears to be a big single unit but upon close inspection you can spot the panel breaks between each support bracket. Overall the complete panel is 11.5 meters wide by 7.2 meters high to the tallest point which is then broken down into 18 smaller panels. The panels are secured in place by fully welded aluminium brackets that are fixed back to steel box section supports at the rear. Diagonal aluminium supports were introduced along the sloping sections of the upper panels, bird-break (fixed angle) brackets were then used to fix the floating ends of the blades. This enabled us to shade the entire window.
